Aaron

I used to steal my uncle’s Sony Cybershot DSC-W55 back when I was like, 9. Would sneak it upstairs and take like 700 pictures of…who knows what and then slip it back into place where I took it.

This is the oldest photo I can find of myself:

18.9mm, f/5.2, 1/20, ISO 320 on Sony DSC-W55, circa 2009 (I was 13)

I’ve always liked taking photos. I’ve had flashes of doing videos and being interested in that kind of stuff, but I always find myself coming back to the stills. In my life I’ve taken like hundreds of thousands of photos. Like so many fuckin’ photos. I wonder how many are on my NAS.

Anywho, I spend a lot of time sequencing photos, so that they are viewed in an interesting storytelling-type order. I like to include personal photos in my portfolio because I think they do a great job of highlihgitng some really intimate moments that I may or may not see as a wedding photographer.

Always good practice to just walk around taking pictures of things happening.

I like having repeat clients:

repeat clients (griff tine, leslie christian, david rob, ryan erica, claudia adam, etc.)

I think of myself as a photojournalist; I like to kind of capture background moments.

I started taking pictures in the marching band after I joined the A/V staff and realized that I was the only one who wasn’t an owner of a DSLR camera, so I immediately bought one on Amazon.com and then started using it a ton.

here’s a before and after of two images (use a GIF dawg those are nicer, or even an audioless fixed repeating video).

I would love to work with you pls hire me thx

other things about me i like pizza and chocolate chip cookies and dislike the caste system and capitalism and love chilis, and dips, and am not the biggest fan of cauliflower but I could potentially get more into it. what im saying is that I am willing to try a new cauliflower dish if you have a strong recommendation or are a good cauliflower chef yourself.

i’ve photographed a lot of friends from college, that’s been pretty cool

also want to mention that I do a lot of local edits too, like removing blemishes, distracting objects, wires

i also make sure that everyone is smiling in JUST ABOUT every photo (don’t want to make any false claims here but I’d say 97% all eyes are open)

i use simple prompts

smile

look at each other

fake laugh

walk that way

see very easy

I try to keep my pricing simple because pricing is weird as heck in this industry sometimes. There are a bunch of things that could shift this up (distance, extra hours, etc.)
